Oulook has small red "x" in left hand corner, can't get new emails28 Nov 2005 20:05 GMT27
I messed around with the Windows firewall a couple of nights ago
(trying to get rid of alg.exe) and ever since I haven't been able to
get new emails and every time I open outlook I get that small red x in
the  system tray. I did a system restore but that didn't seem to help.

I am using Exchange server 200 and Outlook 2003 mail client. I have started
to experience with a single machine where all of a sudden reading emails
with attachments of any size, even 6k, slows greatly.

Outlook 2003 keeps changing the registry key
HKCU\ControlPanel\Desktop\ForegroundLockTimeout to 0x12fb84. After I
manually reset this value to 0 and restart Outlook, the key is being changed
to 0x12fb84 again. How can I prevent this behaviour?

I have a user that lost her regular font in outlook.  everything comes
up bold or italic when typing messages.  if i go into options it
doesn't appear to be there as an option.  anyone have any ideas?

Hope someone can help with his.  My father has Outlook 2003, and today
he has found that emais are registering as being sent via "Send/Receive"
but they are not appearing in his Inbox, or Junk mail. They have

I have a user with outlook 2000 win 2000, everytime she clicks on a
hyperlink in an outlook messsage she opens up the windows explorer browse
box and the type is exe.   Would this be something in windows file
association?

Greetings.  My network uses Exchange 2003 Server.  In order to filter
out some of the Spam that sneaks through, I am trying to use Outlook's
Rules and Alerts to filter these e-mails to the Deleted Items or Junk
E-mail.  Currently I have it so that for every e-mail that comes to me,

Gurus,
I just re-installed Office 2003 on my Windows Server 2003 SP1.  But it is
using Cached mode which is a no-no on Terminal Server.  How can I make
Outlook not use Cache Mode for all new users of this system?

I'm using outlook office 2003 SP1.
Previously before upgrading to SP1, whenever i click on new mail message ,
it would open under ms. word as the mail was checked for ms word as editor in
Mail Format.
