New computer, new installation, copied my old outlook.pst over top of
the newly made one. After a couple of issues already fixed, everything
working right now except that there are two copies of my personal
folder. Identical in all respects. When mail comes in to one, it's in
Outlook export csv contacts screws up email addresses (why?)24 Dec 2005 09:15 GMT1
There must be a way to prevent Outlook from screwing up email addresses
upon import and subsequent export of a csv file into and out of the
contacts? But how?

We are running Office 2003 with exchange 2003 sp1.
Because of issues that we are having with our exchange database and backing
up.  It was decided to off load older files to PST that is on a network

Because of a new computer, I had to do a fresh install of Office 2003.
I was able to get my existing outlook.pst to open, and I see my
messages and my contacts, but I can't get it to look the way I'm used
to. Here's the way it is on my laptop:

opening my outlook.pst that I copied from old computer. I see my mail
including all my folders, and I see my contacts. The rules didn't
transfer which I kinda understand. However, when trying to make new

Outlook keep asking for an MS Exchange-server address and email
address, but the mail services I use is all like hotmail and such.
I do not have access to the server and either way the connection to any

I am using Outlook to read newsgroups, and combining/decoding multi-part
postings. Where does Outlook save the decoded files? I did a search on my
hard drive and couldn't find them anywhere; nor do I see any preferences
where I can specify a folder.
