There must be a way to prevent Outlook from screwing up email addresses upon import and subsequent export of a csv file into and out of the contacts? But how? Here's what happens consistently with Outlook 2003 on Windows XP.

Because of a new computer, I had to do a fresh install of Office 2003. I was able to get my existing outlook.pst to open, and I see my messages and my contacts, but I can't get it to look the way I'm used to. Here's the way it is on my laptop:

Outlook keep asking for an MS Exchange-server address and email address, but the mail services I use is all like hotmail and such. I do not have access to the server and either way the connection to any exchange-server is made by mistanke. I found this on the net:

How do I send an email to a list of addresses but each recipient would only see the message addressed to their name? i.e. if I send to John Doe and Jane Doe, when Jane receives the message it would only show her name as the recipient.

I am using Outlook to read newsgroups, and combining/decoding multi-part postings. Where does Outlook save the decoded files? I did a search on my hard drive and couldn't find them anywhere; nor do I see any preferences where I can specify a folder.
