Why does my outlook start up disconnected?20 Oct 2006 13:54 GMT3
When I start outlook in the lower right corner it says disconnected then
after a minute or two it connects.  It just started doing this.  How do i get
it to load connected?

I've set up an Exchange Server 2003 and created newsgroups there. Then in
Outlook, I open Public Folders, then Internet Newsgroups. Any folder within
there is not showing unread message counter. Is there any way so the unread
counter appears next to each newsgroup?

We have a client who is running outlook 2003 via pop3. Sometimes, she
receives multiples of each email - up to 10 copies of each message...
other times, everything works fine.

This just started to happen today. I have a network user when he opens
a message from his in box, new or old, it will open but automatically
closes after 5 seconds. This never happend before nor is it happening
to any other user on the network. He is running Windows XP Pro SP2.

Does anybody know, how to force an encoding for messages, when replying or
forwarding. I would like to use UTF-8 for all outgoing messages, but when a
user receives a message with Western European encoding and hits forward the
encoding stays the same regardless of outlook ...

As of 2 days ago, I cannot open the hyperlingks which came in my receiving
messages.
I ckck on them as usual and the hyperlinks do not load.
Any trick I can do for having them back, please ?

I have a user that clams that all his emails just deleted them selves.
I went and looked at the deleted folder and there is nothing there. All
the settings in outlook appear to be the normal settings. I couldn't
find a rule that was set to delete any email and auto archiving is set

I have a friend using Outlook 2000 and can't setup hotmail account. When he
signs into his web Hotmail account it directs him to "Windows Live Mail" beta
version. What are the settings for this account in Outlook 2000?
