I seem to have a problem in that each time I startup Outlook XP with accessing Exchange I get a dialogue box coming up asking for a username / password / domain. I put in the required info and the domain will not allow more than 8 characters.

I have just installed Outlook 2003. I can send emails but cannot receive them. I have confirmed my internet settings with my ISP. If I return to Outlook Express which was installed with Microsoft Works I can still access my incoming mail from there

This seems to a be a well-known problem. I have tried the following: 1 Carried out the setps in KB article 290684. I do not have a problem carrying out the procedure, and everything happens as I expect, but it does not fix the problem.

Outlook can be a strange beast! For some reason it refuses to start because it says it requires OE4.01 or greater. The problem is, there is the latest version of OE (6.xx) already installed on the system.
