want to know is, is there a way to break the link from within the
macro, prior to saving with a different name, so that the saved
presentation will not automaically update the link if clicked on.

When trying to view a slideshow, prior to the second slide I get the message "PowerPoint is unable to hyperlink to."  I have not tried to set up a hyperlink - I only wish to go to the next slide.  I emailed the presentation to a friend - it worked fine

I have inserted a WMV file into a slide & using the animation settings, have
tried to get it to play after 5 seconds.
The text appears OK, but the movies file remains as a static image.
