during a slide show, is it possible to make the slides automatically change
every x second with adding an animation to each slide to switch to the next
slide?

Every time I open a file from File>Open..., I change the setting to "Details" view, my preferred. Yet PPT 2003 never seems to remember. So everytime I open a file I have to click the "Views" pulldown to switch it. Over and over.

1    I cut and paste the the Excel chart using paste special and paste link.
This is to facilitate updating the powerpoint as data in the spreadsheet

When I insert an AVI file into PPT 2000 SP-3, the video
window appears but the screen shows angled lines rather
than the video.  Although I can hear the sound, the video
