I need to put an on-screen timer onto a slide.  Has
anyone ever come across something that can be embedded
into the slide that counts down while the slide is up?

I attempted to write a macro to automate the process of inserting scanned
pics into a PPT presentation. This was my sequence of key strokes:-
Insert|Picture|From Camera or Scanner|Insert|Preview|Scan|Slide Layout ... I
saved it all, but when I pressed the "run" button it was greyed ...

Does Powerpoint have an equivalent of Word VBA's FileOpen/FileSave macros?
I have a problem at the moment in that I run some code in Powerpoints
Presentation_Close event, but unlike Word and Excel, Powerpoint's event

HI. Have a presentation. I chose to insert slide numbers
except on 1st page. But it starts on first page anyhow
with number 11 and each page gets 10 added to it (21, 31,
41). Meanwhile they are all consecutive.

I am going to use the PowerPoint Viewer 2003 to show a
ppt or pps file. For the first time of showing the file,
the Viewer will pops up the license screen.

I have a .pps that I need to open with a CD. I am running on XP.
I have added the PP viewer from the Microsoft site as well.
I have created an autorun.inf with the following:

I have a newer laptop that has an ATI-Radeon 7500 video card.  I have an
s-video output port.  My VCR does not have an s-video port, just the typical
RCA jack for a video-in.  I also have a composite video output port on the
laptop.

I somewhat recall that while a presentation is going, that you could click a
number and have it advance to that slide?
I thought  it was, you click the number of the slide and hit enter. All this
does is advance it to the next slide.

When running a show, each slide I use in the
presentation, a picture of it is copied to the C:\ Drive.
How can I keep it from doing this?

Hi folks - I am trying to play a presentation that worked just fine a few
months ago in PPT 2003.  Now, the movie that is embedded in the slide won't
play when show mode is running but it will play in edit mode.  In show mode,
it actually causes powerpoint to hang and I must ...

I made a powerpoint pack and go.... Everything works great
I put the cd in a PC running windows 98  2nd edition
I get an error message saying I need Windows 98 2nd edition to install
powerpoint 2003 viewer.

I would like to have a presentation using a movie file as the background.
One that is like a waterfall scene that keeps looping.  I would then like to
have text over the top of this etc.  Do you have to have a certain add on
program to do this or what?  TIA!
