When I open Powerpoint 2002, it will always start with a slide with a "click to add title" and "click to add subtitle" area. Is there a way to make it, by default, start with a *blank* slide? i.e., no content or text layout?

When I click my slide in a Slide Show to go to the next slide, I want two of the objects (pictures) on my slide to fade out. I tried Custom Animations, but I ended up having to click once to start the fade-out, and click again to go to the next slide.
