For some reason whenever I browse to a ppt file and double click on it, ppt opens but only gives me a new presentation and not the presentation I asked it to open. Is there a config option somewhere that got mucked up???? help??? it's becoming extremely annoying

I want to distribute ppt files to users not having PowerPoint and allow the client to select the preview window size by himself. The Microsoft PPTViewer always displays the ppt files in full screen mode. Is it possible by any means?
