I'm trying to include a short video into my PPT but it doesn't work. Basically I go "insert --> movie from file" then I selected my .MVI file. But the reply is "MS PPT cannot display this type of sound or movie". What should I do?

I needed to make use of macros to do some checking. If the slideMaster do not have a footer, I will add in one. If not I will just ignore. I have a line of code to add in the footer in the master slide but i do not know how to check if footer exist in the slideMaster a not. If

When you print notes pages, if you don't need the pictures of the slides, or don't want to cut the text out of 8 1/2 by 11 pages down to note cards, you should be able just print the text notes onto index cards. ----------------

I'm having problems writing an open event macro with a powerpoint show (read 'show' as underlined) i.e. I can't figure it out at all. Basically, I want the show to fire a background macro. As there is no open event (like in excel), as far as I can tell, you have to build your own.

We have our students working in powerpoint 2000, they are creating animated gifs and then putting them into their presentations, however the animations are starting at slide one rather than when they open the slide which contains them. This means that they are appearing to 'start'
