how can i display a webpage on powepoint slide

I'm using Powerpoint 2003.  When I insert a picture or object, I cannot see
the graphic in the working window.  It shows up when I print and in the
preview slide on the left but not in the preview windo or working window. I
can select the graphic and see the outline, move it ...

previous posts but this didn't work.
When I am editing or creaitng a chart, the fonts look fine, but once I'm
done, the fonts are all messed up - spacing is off, and they look elongated.
