I have been converting our talks on positive film slides by scanning to
digital and am using PowerPoint  as means of presentation.  I want to 'fade'
the slides in but when projected to a large screen they flicker badly - most
off putting.  Can anyone help please.

the crreatioon, I must reset the font I want every time. There must be a way

It plays fine pressing F5 on my computer.
I downloaded the PPT viewer from the MS site.
It views OK using the viewer on my computer.

In the tool bar "WordArt" there is the option list of "Word Art Character
Spacing"
At the end of the list, there is an option called "kern character pairs"
could any one please explain what does this option do?

When I go to insert a picture from file in either ppt or Word, all I get is
an hour glass.  I go to Task Manager and it says powerpoint not responding.  
I can create and save new files, I just can't insert pictures.  This just
started happening last week.

Can you lock fonts and text box sizes in a PowerPoint presentation? I would
like to distribute a template in which content developers can add content,
but cannot change the look of the text  (that is, the font choice or size) or
the size/position of the text boxes.
