When I click on "download" for PPT templates often nothing happens. Sometimes I get an "error on page" message. Sometimes they download into the design templates, and sometimes they don't? What gives?

(running Office XP on XP Home) I've added narration in a presentation and have a sound icon in each file related to an appropriate WAV file, which I can play (but only outside PP). Each slide has an assocaited timing. However when I go to slide show the sound icon dissapears ...

Hi Sure this question has been asked a zillion times before .. but... I want to publish a PP presentation ( approx 1780k - 13 slided with various transitions) on the web. What is the best way given that we want to keep the transitions etc

What is the connection between a master slide shape and corresponding shape in normal slide.(eg:- The name of the two shapes will be same or something like that.) or in other words how can we identify whether the shape has parent in master slide.

I am making a graduation slide show with music. The music will play when the slide show is playing from my computer, but how do I make the music play with the slide presentation from other computers when I copy the powerpoint to a cd?

The problem I have is the size of .wavs I use CDex to convert .mid files to .wavs to embed into my PPS. Starting off with a .mid file of 2.5MB I end up with a final PPS of 28MB! To large to be emailed.

In Word, you can set it up to save versions. Is there a similar feature for PPT? I could not find anything other than AutoRecovery and that does not help if the person saves over the good file.

I'm attempting to create a very complex navigation through PP slides for an interactive CD ROM. I was thinking it might be easier to create seperate 'PP files or shows' and then link them afterwards. Does this make sense? The content is already organised under subject headings... ...
