I teach an online course that includes many large PowerPoint files. Our university utilizes Blackboard course management system. Students who are modem users indicate difficulty in downloading and viewing them. What suggestions do you have?

I'd like to animate an arrow line so that it grows to connect 2 words (on opposite sides of the slide). I'm using powerpoint XP and can't seem to figure out how to do it. Thanks for your help.

I put four video clips in my presentation. They play fine on my computer. When I went to test my presentation on another computer, my video clips won't play. How do I get them to play on other computers?

I was giving a presentation this morning when I was reminded that it is a pain to set up a presentation that switches between landscape and portrait. I have just tried to do this in the 02007 beta 2, but I find that this still needs 2 presentations to be able to do.

I have several PowerPoint presentations that I have inserted Windows Media player files. Most times before the movie launches there is a quick flicker right before the movie plays. I do not have any transistions associated to the slide. There is no "flicker" when I play the file ...

When I open PowerPoint it automatically opens in 'slide master view'. I must have somehow made this a default, but not sure how, why or how to get it back to normal. Thanks.

I need to create a slide where I stack objects and have them appear one at a time. Could someone tell me how to do this. I haven't used Powerpoint in a long time can't seem to remember. I guess you would apply animation to the objects but I am not sure how to do it.

Is there a way to protect a picture or grouping of text boxes from being changed. I know I can lock the presentation but all I need is just the grouping. I want to beabel to change other things on the slide but lock the one grouping.

Whenever I try to convert a powerpoint presentation into a PDF file - I get an error saying that it cannot be completed. Why is this happening? How else can I turn my powerpoint presentation into a PDF file?? Thanks!
