I want to turn a powerpoint presentation into video (dvd and vhs format). In
the past I've connect my laptop to my TV with a vcr hooked up to it - play
the presentation and recorded it using the vcr.  The resolution was very
poor. Is there a better way?

In using PP 2007 I cannot maintain the transparent background of transparent
gifs . . .these figures are easily animated in PP 03 but with the beta
