My friend has two monitors attached to a PC running Windows XP Pro and
Office 2007. Is it possible to run a Powerpoint Slideshow in one monitor and
work on something else in the other monitor. Someone mentioned that it may be
possible to run the slide show in "background".

Here is the situation....I have an exisiting  powerpoint document and an
existing template for Word.  I need to get the content from the powerpoint
slides to the existing word document.  The send to word doesn't work, because
I don't want notes I want the content to look the same ...

Is there a startup switch which will open a PowerPoint .pptx file and
display full screen its first slide?

I have a podcast and the powerpoint presentation that went with it. How do I
combine the two? I am happy to record the slide transitions in real time, but
would prefer to have a single, rather than linked output file.

How do you make the Freeform shape 'snap to grid' as it did in previous
versions of powerpoint (or word)?
I draw a lot of shapes that need to be constrained in a grid and freeform is
the only way to do it that I know.

I'm trying to save a version of my ppt to share with others in a show, view
only format. I want them to open the file and play the pps show but NOT have
access to open & save the original ppt file.
When I save as PPS, they still have the ability to access the original slides.

I just purchased Office 2007 and am dismayed to find that PowerPoint still
behaves in such an unbelievably primitive, clunky way on a web site.
Why isn't it there a built-in function which converts PowerPoint to
streaming media?
