Can anyone tell me how I can make a picture transparent in powerpoint 2003?

I made a test presentation with 3 slides. The first slide has links to the
second and third. The other slides link back to the first. When I export to
pdf with the microsoft "PDF or XPS" plugin the links are all messed up. They
don't jump where they should. However the links work ...

My son has made a powerpoint maze game with 600 slide with hyperlinks that
seem to be now causing errors and turning into URL's. The files seem to
change whilst in use....

colour of slides in the latter. Some retain the background. How do I retain
background of all the transferred slides?

I want to view two presentations on one monitor in the "normal" view.  I

SHIFT+F1 to change your cursor to a question mark. You could then click on a

Does anyone know how I can create a cross reference or an index reference in
PPT 2003?  I would like to automate my table of contents based on these
references as well as create an index at the end of my presentation giving
people the page numbers of key subjects.

In PowerPoint 2003, there was the feature/curse of auto layout. Insert a
picture into a blank slide, and that picture gets stuck in a template
placeholder. But PPT03 was kind enough to offer a button to disable the auto
layout. PPT07 is not so gracious.
