I've a picture as background on slides.  How can I make the background
lighter or more translucent so the overlayed text shows better?

We have a large web site used by Microsoft sales people.  This site is
protected by windows live id.  
The site provides links to and hosts sales materials - including office
documents, excel sheets, powerpoints, etc.

i am looking to change images, but each time i change an image all of the
transitions disappear along with the original image.  Can i retain all of the
transitions and still replace the images?
Please let me know ASAP.

In our company we want to have all presentations to automatically have the
file path, file name, user who created the presentation and the date created
automatically added as a footer. IS this possible? We do this with Word and
Excell already but I am told that Power Point does ...

I am first time working on powerpoint charts and graphs where I need to
populate charts in the poerpoint slide with the data coming from Sql Server
database. I am stuck at a point when it comes to Table type chart in
powerpoint.

could I create a textbox with scrollbars where some the text inside the
texbox have links like saved windows documents.

So Pack and Go can't find the viewer (for the option include viewer).
I have installed it from the web many times, even different versions
that I Googled, and no matter what, it just doesn't give me the option
to Include viwer.

When I apply a new template to existing PPT files, the slide master applies
to all of the slides but the notes master is lost - the size of each
placeholder, size of the slide, the font of the notes body area, and bullet
format all revert to the default PPT template.

I set the slide transition to 7 seconds and to advance automatically.  My
music plays but the slides will not advance.

I inserted compatible sound file in powerpoint 2007 to be played when
clicked. I run the presentation, then I clicked on the sound icon, IT DOESN'T
PLAY at all.

I'm getting this message when saving a .ppt (compatabiity mode) file
from PPT 2007:
"Customized prompt text in custom layouts is removed in earlier
