When I import a single image as a background in several slides in the same
deck, sometimes the offsets are changed, sometimes they are not. Any ideas
why? It is fairly annoying to have to wait and see if the offsets are changed
for every instance of importing the same image ...

In the 2003 version of Powerpoint, you could link to specific worksheets in
an Excel file.  I can't find a way to link to a specific worksheet in 2007,
only to a file.  Any ideas?

In PowerPoint 2007 it does not seem possible to select text using the
selection tool.  I can click on individual words and delete them one
at a time but this is a pain.  In the 2003 version  I used the
selection tool to draw boxes around  text and delete it all the time.
