I have numerous .ppt files that were created with the version of Powerpoint
that was included in the MS Office 4.2 package (mid-90's).  I would
appreciate any suggestions that might help me open them with Powerpoint 2007.

This is a little longwinded but I think I need to explain whats happening.
Summary:
1.Created large instructional PPT with Hyperlinks to both external PPT pages
with illustrations.  700+ slides.  

Many times, but not all, when I get a presentation set to me or I download
one, there is no script.  I get the background graphics and content bars with
no text in them.  When I right click I get a list of all the slides but they
all only have background, no text.  Any help would ...

Actually in the version that I am using you can no longer just rename it.  
Nothing happens when you rename it.  I use to do this in older versions of

When I create a column chart, the columns do not print as displayed in the
slide show. After adjusting the format and closing gap to 0% between columns,
I still get gray lines in between the columns instead of solid gray columns.
Has there been an update to control for this ...

I have a multiple page excel worksheet that I need to display in PP in a
continuous fashion.  I'm looking for a feature that is similar to Word's Link
or Fill feature.  I don't want to have to paste the excel worksheet several

Q1?:  What does MS PowerPoint Javascript code check (registry entry? ActiveX
Objects?) to determine if it can display the video format or not?
Q2?: How can I fix this? (Browser patch? Windows media player patch?)

On some slides the bullets get raised by say 4-5 points above normal
position. I tried deleting everything before text, type from scratch but
nothing works. Is there any control to control the bullets' position?

I would like to put a user name and password on my website, but can't seem to

I run PP on a Fujitsu notebook P series.  I have a volume control on my
presentation mouse.  When I change the volume a volume scale appears on the
screen showing the volume level.  If I need to raise or lower the volume
(while a clip is showing during a pp presenatation) this ...

I'd like to insert a "filepath" on each slide to make it easy for finding the
file.  How do I do this?
