I am having a problem I am not sure how to fix. I am going to a website that
lets me (supposedly) open a PPT file when I click on it. But the only 2
options I get are 1. Save or 2. Cancel, there is no Open button when I click
on the file. Any ideas?

I have been running a slide show on our closed circuit TV channel using power
point for over 3 week with no problem.  Today, the slides being displayed

AVI files that once palyed in ppt no longer do. They play in Windows Media
Player. They are properly linked. The error message indicates I am missing a

okay, so i hooked up my projector and switched everything on. The projector
is working but it is only displaying the background image from the desktop
and none of the icons from the desktop. How do I switch the display to show
that actual desktop?

I'm using Windows 2000 and Powerpoint 2000. I have a 6 slide .ppt saved on my
hard drive that someone sent me. I'm trying to 'drag and drop' three of those
slides in to a new presentation (.ppt). Only the text shows up on the new
ppt... the background/template does not copy over. ...

I have tried to use controls such as ListView (version 5.0 SP2 and
version 6) on my presentation, but they seem to produce odd behavior.
Such as, when the slide show runs, the ListView control appears on the
screen at 0,0 location, even though on the slide it's at 168,106... the
