I am trying to create and autorun a CD containing Powerpoint 2000
presentations using Windows XP Pro.  The files are just fine and the root of
presentations is saved as a Slide Show - pps file.  I am experiencing two
problems:

I receive an error message when I try to edit Organization Chart 2.0 objects
that are created in earlier versions of Office.  Now I have Office 2003.
Message:
The Microsoft Organizational Chart server application can't be found.

Weird problem we have here at work. People are being upgraded on their
laptops from Win2k/Office 2k to XP Pro/Office 2003. However when they try to
open files that were previously fine in 2000 with 2003 they get an error
message saying that part of the file is missing, however it ...

I've been reading some past comments, and I'm a little disappointed that a
slide cannot be locked so nothing can be changed in it. I'm not talking
about password protecting the slide because I'm mostly worried about myself,
accidently moving stuff around. It would be nice to be ...

I have a very basic knowledge of PowerPoint.  I have been ask to create a
presentation with slides of 20 states with notations where we have locations.
Can any one recommend where I can get downloads of all states that I can
then edit and add pins and notations.  Thanks  JayE

I created a powerpoint presentation for the first time using microsoft office
(trial) . I then downloaded it to a F: key drive. At my interview today it
wouldn't open on their computer?
I emailed it to them and they cannot download it?

I use ver 2003, ordinary square (hollow) bullet (char code 111 Windings). In
some slides the bullet gets raised by around 4-5 points above its normal
position. There is no space between or around. How to correct it? Thanks

Is it possible to open up a powerpoint presentation in powerpoint with it
starting automatically?  Very much like opening it with the powerpoint
viewer.

when launching a pps in vista/ie7 it opens the powerpoint application vs.
playing it as a slide show.  File association for pps is IE.  Does anyone
know if this is a bu...I mean undocumented feature?

I have a computer with PowerPoint viewer installed that I would like to run
a presentation on with a video that automatically plays on one of the
slides.  I can't seem to get the video running on a machine with just the
viewer, is there a workaround to this at all?

A drawn logo in 2007 turns into a picture when saved in 2003 compatability
mode. Is there any way to prevent this?

Whenever I want to open a file or attach a file using one of the microsoft
office 2007 software, I keep getting "Initializing the root folders to
display".  It is bodering me because it takes time. Is there a solution to
this problem?
