Can anyone point me to two good reference books on Powerpoint? I am mostly
interested in Animation, sound clips and clipart. The two I was thinking on
buying were:
2003 Bible and 2003 Special Edition.

I made some short clips and saved them to avi (I forget which codec, its on a
different computer). I read that a good test if it is "power point
compatible" is to open it with media player classic (start -> run -> mplayer2
(with windows XP)). It opened and played with no problems ...

I tried "insert picture from files" in Powerpoint.
But, the file/directory open took about 1 min.
How can I resolve this problem?
I did "disk defragmenting" already...

I have a custom background for my slides and on the screen it looks just
fine, when I print (or do a print preview), only the words that I typed onto
the slide appear. Thanks for your help

I'm trying to print out a group of slides and several of them are build
slides that come out with only the initial information on them...can anyone
tell me how to print the slide as it is full populated?

I am using the Radial Template in PowerPoint.  A random line appears on my
printed slides and handouts, but not on the screen.  The line cuts through
the title on every slide.  How do I get rid of the line?  It is not appearing
on the master slide.

I've created a slide show in PP 2003 and using the "insert sound from file"
placed an MP3 on slide 1
I then right clicked and from proporties set it to loop until stopped.
Ok now the slide should moveon after 5 secs but it doesn't seems to be

My presentation will consist of pictures only, with added titles and music
track. Is there a quick way of resizing the pics (jpegs imported from hard
drive)? they seem to be far too big and using the manual 'handles' is very
laborious.

I am trying to convert powerpoint handouts to pdf files with PowerPoint 2007.
I know how to convert them, but I want to convert them in black and white -
NOT IN COLOR.  Is there a way to do this?

Does anyone know how to create a Power Point template from an existing ppt
file that was generated using another template?  I have tried the save-as
choosing the .pot and it did create the template.  However, it still has the

Is there a way in PowerPoint to have connecting lines show a small hump when
they cross, in just the way they do in Visio.
Is there a special connector? A property of a line or connector? I don't
even know what to properly call it.

I have Powerpoint 2003 SP3.
I downloaded MP3 files from Amazon and added one of them to a slide using
Insert, Movies and Sounds, Sound from a File.  My down loaded files are at a
path of C:Downloads - Music so the lenth of the file shouldn't be a problem.  

I am trying to "indent" or "subordinate" bullet statements on a slide in MS
PP 2007, but I don't see the "indent in" or "indent out" arrows. Where are
those toggles switches located in MS PP 2007?
