Hi,
Is it possible to have comments show all the time, that is "Expanded"?

Word has a "word count" does power point have a way to tell you how long your
current presentation is?

1. Is there a way to merge slides from individual PPR files into one
combined PPT file, without having to open each individual PPT file?
2. The reason I need this is because I have 50 - 70 one-slide PPT files that
are auto-updated from a database.  They have to be one-slide per ...

I have Office 2003.  In the save file function in PowerPoint  I am not
offered the option of saving with a pps extension, only the ppt extension. If
I send as an e-mail attachment, is there a difference between pps and ppt.  
If so, how do I save with a pps extension?

Short, medium and long are not sufficient. I need to have different
crossfades for slides. Is there a way I can access the default timings for
short medium long? Or is there an add-in I can get? I'm using PP2003.

In PPT 2003, when I copy and pasted an object from another program (in my
case, GraphPad Prism), it became an object in PPT.  I could then convert the
object into a drawing object where I could manipulate the individual lines,

I inserted a chart-then I selected the chart and went to custom animation
and added an effect to fly in from bottom.

How do I move the base of a column in a bar chart above the value of nought

In the PowerPoint 2003 there was a feature that looked like an pencil with
eraser. When I clicked on that feature I could take out the white background
from an inserted picture in my powerpoint slide. I can not find out how to do
that in the 2007 powerpoint.  I use it quite often ...

I am doing a small set of credits. However I have it set at 30 seconds (good
speed), but the credits end just before the last three go off the screen. Is
there anyway to keep the speed but extend the time to allow it to finish?

I have a problem with editing shapes or other items in PowerPoint
2007.
If I want to edit a big shape and zoom into a corner of square shape ,
every time I change the size PowerPoint changes the view to the middle

I'm using PowerPoint 2003.
The problem that I have is that we have tables in a SQL database, that I
want to link directly to PowerPoint and update upon the presentation launch.
There is no intermediate Excel file I am populating.
