When editing a powerpoint 2003 presentation, I can see pictures on the side
bar...I can see the outline of the picture on the slide I am editing, but
cannot see picture in the slide I am editing

Photographs are visible on the final presentation but not when you view
individual slides which makes it difficult to do anything with them.
we would like to make them visible again

when saving file even without amending the document, the file size increases
by 50kb each time. eg original 562kb ->612kb -> 662...did not change
filename.
