I am a service provider and pre-press manager at a
commercial web printer and use real desktop publishing
programs. I am however forced to use Publisher from time

I am new to Publisher, and am working on postcards that
have imported jpg images.  I create the postcard, arrange
the layout guides, check the specifications in page setup,
and look at the print preview which is fine...but when I

My  customer's file is a 1/4-sheet (5.5x4.25) and I want to print it

Has anyone ever used Publisher for printing a local newspaper?  Is it possible to do?  My gut instinct is, I don't see why you couldn't take the a newsletter template and simply expand it to 30 - 35 pages to do a regular newsweekly or magazine. Are there any newspaper templates ...

printed as a 4-color process, when I receive the files,
they all are RGB and when they get converted into CMYK

I'm using publisher 2002 and trying to print business
cards on perforated, blank bus card stock - standard 3 1/2
x 2 inch cards, 10 per page. The cards are a standard
template with a color border on the edge of each card.

Would someone please define "ripping" to me? I've seen it used and it sounds
like it's something just prior to printing but I'm unfamiliar with the term.
