Been using Pub 3.0 for years. Works great. Produced a newsletter, want to get it printed up digitally at a shop. Shop 1 says "No Publisher, give me pdf"

I have Pub 2000 and wish to update to Pub 2002 (it's only ?50 from Amazon whereas Publisher 2003 is ?150!). As I have many large files which I cannot risk not opening after the install, should I install 2002 AS WELL AS 2000? Or doesn't it matter. Which

I am running Pub 2002 on XP Pro. I just reformatted my system and installed XP Pro so I'm starting at step one again. To add to the mess I just bought a new printer and this is the first I've tried printing a Publisher file with it.
