How do I change a 1/4 page postcard to a 1/2 page postcard?

I occasionally loose track of superfluous empty picture frames and they end
up hidden behind something more opaque. Is there some straight forward way
of hunting down these "ghosts" ?

If I need to successively create a number of picture frames on a page is it
necessary to click the picture frame tool icon for each picture frame?

When I use the publisher drawing tools to make a drawing
inside a picture frame, the drawing is nice an crisp while
I am inside the picture frame, but becomes very distorted
when I go outside the frame. Any Ideas?

I need to change from 1/4 page postcard to 1/2 page.  11 pages are already created, but I can't make the cards larger.

I am using windows XP professional with Publisher 2000,
and the drawing tools that come w/ Pub 2000. When I open a
new Publisher Document and use 'Insert' / 'Picture' / 'New
Drawing', a drawing box appears, as well as drawing tools.

Okay, how do I turn this darned Task Pane thing off by default? I tried
