the 2 CD's found that the disc #2 was too scratched to be

I'm also having this problem. I was sent a file (email) that is internally
stamped "Microsoft Publisher 3.0", which is the '95 version I believe. I
installed Publisher 2000, and it won't open the file.
I tried the solutions given (disabling NAV features), and that didn't help.

I am trying to import my data from Excel into Publisher

I have the same question as "Ajoy."  Does anyone know how
to convert a publisher file to a work document?  Or, does
anyone know how to convert a publisher file to a PDF
file.  Does that require specific software?

When I use Mailmerge and chose "Create new Publication" the resulting
publication does NOT contain my addresses. Instead, it only shows the names
of the merge fields from the address block.
So, I thought I give the "Print to file" form the Print Merge dialog a shot.

I have problems with picture layout - no matter what layout I choose the program insists on making a "hole" to the text below and if I delete the picture the text continues to behave as if the picture was still there
