I have a text box with vertical text on my publication. When I save it as a pdf file, the text box does not keep its position. It goes off the page. Any ideas?

i am doing a yearbook, so i created a table, with hidden lines, and within each cell i would like to insert a photo of a child, but they do not automatically fit into the cell, i have over 300 students to do. what is an easier way to insert the photo into the cell?

I set up a document for dimensions to be 8x11, save it and close it. The next day I open that same document and find that it has gone back to the default settings of 8.5x11? Would anyone know how I can avoid this risky behavior?
