How do I alphabetize a list of names in Publisher?

I am having a problem printing to an HP DesignJet networked printer using
Publisher.  I know the printer is set up because I can print large size
posters from PageMaker.
Any ideas or settings changes that I would have to make to Publisher so that

When I type commas or periods or other punctuation, they appear on screen and
in preview as symbols

Neither Word, not Publisher 2007 will open on my new computer with Vista
Business.
Excel, Outlook etc work fine. I'm at my wit's end and spent hours with Dell
support but still can't solve this problem.

Hi, I wonder whether anyone can help me please.
I am using Publisher 2000 and have created a speech bubble from the Custom
Tools, I then want to add some text into this speech bubble, so have added a
text frame and moved it on top of the speech bubble and made it transparent.

I have used: format picture > layout > square > both sides > distance from
text is 0.3 and saved changes.  But when I open the document again it has
changed back to "automatic" 0.1 distance from text.  How do I make sure it
stays on 0.3?  Using Publisher 2002 on Windows 2000.

I have designed a one page newsletter in Publisher. When I email it to myself
it looks great. When I send it to other people from publisher is moves
everything around and out of place. How do I fix this?

I have adobe acrobat version 5.0. I have a PDF file I want to drop into and manipulate (size) into a publisher file.  I am using windows XP.  Is there a way to do this?  I think I can convert to a eps or ps file but don't have much knowledge there.

When I print my booklet it prints upsidedown on the otherside of the sheet.
Page 1 is ok but then pages 2&3 print upside down on the opposite side.. Is
