Right clicking on desktop or in a folder and using "Create Microsoft Word Document" from sub menu creates a Word "Plain Text" Word doc instead of a "Normal" Word doc. Createsnew docs OK within word and file associations appear to be OK.

When I try to open MS Word 2002, I receive the error message "word is currently recovering your documents." Then, I am prompted to open in the Safe Mode. When I do that, the cycle starts all over again.

Hi: Can someone tell me if I need to uninstall Word 2000 to install the 2002 version in Win XP Home ED? Or can I just install over it. The 2002 version came in the Works suite 2002. Thanks. Josie
