When running Word 2000 and other Office 2000 applications
on XP, error 1706 appears for non-admin users.  The apps
start up the Windows Installer, which looks for the

I am really getting frustrated by recurrent errors in MS

rights, all is well. If a regular user tries to run an Office application
they get  Windows Installer which wants the CD. After inserting the CD, the

Hi, I have stuffed up my installation of office and now i
cant get it to uninstall, even when i remove it from the
add-remove program group it will only install word and
nothing else, and even this will only open in safe mode..

I recently recovered a corrupted Word 2002 file, using
the excellent documentation in Knowledge Base.  After
recovering the file, I saved it as rich text, then re-

When I try to open, it says, works cannot access one or
more files it needs to run the word processor. The files
may have been, renamed, deleted or moved. Try reinstalling
works and then starting the program again.
