I have works 6.0 preinstalled on aHP pavilion laptop and
can't get the program to work.  It opens but when I try
to open a blank document I get a message saying it needs
to close the program and send an error message.  I

I am trying to change the temp file location for Word 2002, running on
W2K.  I have created a separate HD partition for all temp files and
set the path for temp files in W2k sys properties to this partition.
It appears that some small Word temp files are going there but I still

After upgrading to XP, I was forced to reload my Office
97 Professional. I used Eraser97 prior to reinstall. I
also installed both service packs. Now, when I use Word,

Some of the replies and advice I have received re a problem I have
with Word 2000 tell me to delete the Normal.dot file.
Have searched the complete drive on both the problem machine and one
on which Word works fine and ALAS! Search says there is no such file
