File Permission error when saving to a floppy.10 Mar 2004 05:06 GMT2
I am trying to save a mail merged document to a floppy
disk drive and it gives me the error message "Word cannot
complete save due to a file permission error.  This is
Word 2000 on a Windows 2000 machine.  I can save to the

With the Find and Replace box active in my Word 97, I used to be able to
press Ctrl+U, Ctrl+I, and Ctrl+B to put bold, underline and italic
formatting parameters in the Find and Replace  But now that doesn't
work.  The only way to assign the formatting parameters is to dig down

For some reason everytime we open a new document.. Two

When I try to open a Word 97 template file using Word
2003, it will not open and I get an error message

I installed Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 on
my Dell computer which uses Windows XP.
Each time I start Word I get the error message: "The macros
in this project are disabled. Please refer to the online

When I attempt to open a document via the toolbar icon or
from File-->Open, the application freezes. The same thing
happens when I attempt to save a document. I renamed the
normal.dot template, that did not help. Nothing is

When I type the letter "r" the "Run" window pops open.
when I type the letter "e" the "Windows explorer" window
opens. What have I done and i do I fix this?

MS Word won't open and as it's trying to it freezes my
computer.  All of my other MS programs work fine and I've
always had Norton Anti-virus an no problems arise.  The
program came with my computer and I don't have any

A document is created with no issues.
If I want to save the file to the default directory, I go

I'm running MS Office 2003 (small business edition) on a
laptop. I print to a printer connected to another
computer over a wireless network. Everything works fine
when I'm at home on my own network.

whenever I start up WORD, the new doc always comes in with
the underline button pushed down.  Driving me nuts.  And
no...I didn't mess with the template, so any ideas?  This
is my first posting so I hope this works--we have plenty
