when i enter microsoft office, and i try to type
something it won't type and at the bottom of the screen
it says "this modification is not allowed because the
document is locked" but when i type something in wordpad

very funny things are happening to my version of word
2002 on xp.
it won't open documents, saying they are in use and read-
only, then gets stuck when you click on read-only.

I just got my new computer (a dell laptop) and the first

Hi. My Word 2002 is stop responding but just with a
particular user. I have word 2002 installed in a windows

I've had a couple of my old documents renamed from, say, "resume" to "~$resume".  The file seems to have been corrupted, because word can't open it.  I've searched everywhere, but can't seem to find any answers.  Any advice?

I cannot print a document written in Word 2000 (part of

When I double-click a word file to open the file, and
word, it gives me the following error message

Came to open a Word document this evening, and for some
reason, when Word opened, there were no menus/icons/tools/

Does anyone know how to purge from all of my documents a
newly acquired, unwanted paragraph symbols or prompts and
space dots or prompts? I have no idea why they suddenly
appeared ... they don't print out, but are a distraction
