word always wants to start in safe mode. It says it needs to recover a document and must start in safe mode. I delete normal.dot and it works for a few minutes but then if I close and reopen word im back to the opening in safe mode game. I am running office xp standard on xp.

In my working environment, sometimes a numbers of users need to open a same document for editing. I understand that for Microsoft Word, there can be only 1 person that's editing and the rest would be read-only.
