       I have a  PC running Windows 2000 and office XP on
the C: It is connected to a server. When I create or open
a word doc and write some text, save it, and then add more
text and go to save it again... it freezes up with the

The document name or path is not valid. Try these
suggestions:
* Check the file permissions for the document or drive.
* Use the File Open dialog box to locate the document.

Everything on my computer works except Word. Every time I
try to open, I get the error message: "Microsoft Word for

When trying to open files from my desktop on win 98, Iget these messages now
where as before they opened no problem: 1:  windows cannot find PROGRAM.exe.
2:  a required.DLL file, PNCRT.DLL was not found.

I have Word 2003 on a XP Home PC.  'New Word document' on desktop produces a
Word doc, which opens with a dialog box saying 'Convert from (in my case)
Plain text'.  I then have to save the doc as a Word doc.  How can I get 'New
