Everything on my computer works except Word. Every time I

Word doc, which opens with a dialog box saying 'Convert from (in my case)
Plain text'.  I then have to save the doc as a Word doc.  How can I get 'New

We are having a problem with Word 2003 opening older
documents (97,2000,2002), when you open them you get the
message "Word was unable to read this
document. It may be corrupt."

I purchased my laptop from Staples/Business Depot last
year and my Microsoft Word and Excel have trouble
starting up, and I can't get my Acrobat to work anymore.  
Nor can I install Acrobat anymore.
