i can not open word properly, so i can not get the product id to be able to send an email support request... word opens then immediately proceeds to display an error message to the effect that it "has encounterd a problem

My computer uses WIN 98SE and WORD 97 which has always worked well before. Now, when I click on Start>Programs>Microsoft Word, the Word 97 window comes up - then the large Word screen comes with a grey screen

I just had installed Office 2003 and now Word takes the CPU to 100% by simply launching the application with a blank document. Other applications appear to be not effected but I can hear the cooling fan on the CPU speeding up to compansate for the increase CPU activity.
