The File command (and drop down menu) has disappeared from the word document
screens.  (All commands  still work from hot keys). Can't retore through
tolls customise function.  Have tried re installing the office suite. Any
suggestions please?

Word should recognize the formatting of an MLA (Modern Language Association)
and APA (American Psychological Association) citations at the end of a
document as well as other widely used formats for citation.  Spelling and
grammar check always disapproves of a “work citied” page ...

I have disabled Norton Office Plug-In.  Word takes about 40 seconds to open
and close.  When it finally closes, it does not respond and must be closed
via task manager.
Opening documents are similiarly difficult.

Create index have marked all entries using a cncordance file.  Display field
codes and the fields beginning with {XE ... } are all there, but the index
itself is not generated.  Now it is a BIG word doc over 1 million characters,
and is 1,166 pages long.
