Word 2002 lockup when inserting auto text28 Apr 2005 18:13 GMT3
When ever I try to insert an auto text with a date, word goes into a loop
burning 100% CPU and I have to use task manager to shut down.

Got a strange problem popped up a couple of days ago - so far it isn't
responding to anything I have tried.
On opening word 2000 the first screen comes up - then a message 'MS Word for
windows has encountered a problem and needs to close.'

I can print to my Epson 8600 Aculaser from both lower and mp trays from
'print test page' in printer properties and Excel but not from Word (2003)

Have just installed Office 2004 on the Mac.  The date Word offers to insert
into documents is wrong, by one day older than it should be.  Are there
insights on this problem?

Automatic formatting seems to effect 1/2 only, not other fractions such as
1/3 or 2/3.  Does anyone know the answer?

When I tried to open a MS Word file, the application sees it as being edited
by another user but I am working on a single desktop and I am the only user.

in upgrading something was "broken" which previously worked just fine.  When
spell checking a document in which track changes are on, the correction AND
that which was corrected (e.g., corectcorrect) ...

I see similar problems with Word 2003 and network printers and I suspect that
this will be a frequent thread.
A friend of mine has the following scenario:
Windows 98SE with an attached HP3847 printer via USB is "Network Shared"
Office 2003 Deployment via GPO27 Apr 2005 16:56 GMT1
Testing Office '03 deployment via GPO with *.mst configuration file setup
with Custom Installation Wizard.
Currently have Office 2000 Pro installed on systems.  Have set *.mst file to
remove all versions of previous installations.
Error opening 2000 docs in 200327 Apr 2005 16:45 GMT1
This particular document has been going between two companies for several
months.  The other company has been on Word 2003 for that time.  The document
has been opening fine.  Suddenly 2003 says the document is corrupted and
requires repair, which they did and everything is fine.
