I keep getting Preparing to install... and Windows
Installer pops up every time I open Word.  How do I make
that disappear?

I have a paper due and I can't spell to save my life.  I accidently hit ignor
all insted of ignor once, and now I can't spell check my paper.

Why Word shuts down while working with several documents?

Trusty HP LaserJet II P+ frequently drags extra sheet then jams in Win XP.

I have downloaded all updates and have been to the site mentioned in the

I am using a style for numbered lists. However when I use the style for the
second numbered list it automatically uses continuous numbers from the first
list. I have deleted it and replaced it. Closed/open the file. Everything.

When I have several documents minimized, and on the internet, word just
closes arbitrarily when I try to restore one of the files.  Then I have to
reopen Word and restore the automatically saved files.  This is very

i want to know how to turn it off. it is on microsoft word.  it says "this
command is not available because the document is locked for edit", i didnt
set any kind of lock on it! and i cant use any other buttons! i cant type

I was editing a word document, I did a spell check and the French Spell

How do I set up menus in Word when it starts if there are none at Start-up,

Machine running office 2003 sp1 freezes when in word or excel when the
user tries to open a document.  IT occurs when the user clicks on the
look in drop down box in the open or save box.  This seems to only
affect windows 2000 machines and not XP.
