I am running Windows 2000 with SP4 and Office 2000 Pro with SP3. When saving to a floppy, the hourglass stays on the word document, the floppy spins for a bit, and you have to reset the computer. Task manager will not shut word down.

My Microsoft Word 2003 normal menu toolbar (file, edit, view etc) has moved to the right side as a vertical toolbar when I open any document and I can't reset it. Is it a virus?

In Word 2K the "Tools" menu is missing. I have tried repairing, then removing and re-installing. I have done all updates available. It probably wouldn't bother me so much but I'm trying to do a mailmerge.

I am getting this message when trying to open a particular document. Word can no longer display it, i.e. the document does not open. The document seemed ok before, but the latest backup is also corrupt (same problem).

Wnen new macros or even autotext entries are made, I am not prompted to save to my normal.dot. When I close out and reopen Word, the macros and new autotext are not there. If I create the macro and then open vb editor then the modules and save to

Please test redrawing the caret while the Cursor blink rate in Control Panel is set to 0. When I hit Return or Backspace to move the caret to the previous/next paragraph, the caret simply disappears and doesn't show up again.

I made some modifications to my styles but now when I want to bullet or italicize (etc) some text the whole document gets bulleted or italicized (etc). None of my new styles have bullets or italics, just bolded with a different font face.

While I was working on a document, I must've hit a button or two and the whole document have a 'Paragraph' and 'ENTER' symbol at the end and begening of each sentence. Could anyone Please suggest how I could get get rid of these?

Trying to open a word document I wrote 8 years ago. Word gives me the following message: "there is not enough memory or disk space to convert this document" The document is only 40,490 bytes. Don't know what to do.
