When I open a word document, I can see the document quite well. However, the
menubar at the top is not present.
Also, if the document contains bmp/jpeg picture images, only the outlining
box is shown.

Has anyone seen this error "wsstartup error"?  If so, how do I resolve this

i saved the document and emailed it, but my co-workers are receiving it as a

Not a major issue, but it bothers me a lot.
Until now, whenever I created a table, either by using the toolbar "insert
table"
button, or going to Menu |Tables | Insert Table... the columns of the table

Somehow I managed to save a document to the new document icon on the tool
bar.  It also come up everytime I open my word.  I cannot delete it I need

The spelling checker appears to have an error. "cicatrisation" should be
cicatrization in US English according to Webster's Third New international
Dictionary. The spell checker suggested the British spelling.

I got a problem when I using TOC function in Word.  the page count is ok when
I saved in my PC but when I attached in a email, when I reopen it, the page
count changed to the same page no.  Is it because of when I open the attached
word file in outlook, it open as a reading pane?

How do I turn off the error message "the command cannnot be performed because
a dialog box is open. Click OK and then close other dialog boxes to
continue." when opening word 2003. There does not appear to be any boxes

We have a custom Word template that works fine in 2002 and 2003, however in
2000 it crashes Word with and error - "the memory could not be read"
Even if we delete everything from the template it still gives an error.
Updated Word 2000 to SP3 and still same issue.

abruptly word crashes within seconds after opening. the error message is a
long machine code. all other office programs are fine. presence/ absence of
other open programs does not influence this crash.

Hello - I have been a user of Professional Word 2003 for 2 yrs.  For some
unknown reason all of my documents saved on my hard drive, formatted as a
Word doc and saved in Word have now swithed and are now saved as a text  
"Wordpad"  document .  I am not sure what caused this or ...
