I am having problems with Word 2007 freezing when trying to insert a picture
from file (Insert > Picture).  The cursor displays the busy signal but the
insert picture from file dialog never opens and the program must be forced
closed.  This just became a problem in the last three ...

When I typed ************ it became a dashed line that won't let me delete
it. How do I get rid of it?

I use Word as my email editor and just recently, a couple of things changed,
such as when I forget to captilize the beginning of a sentence it no longer
automatically corrects it.  Seems to have happened after an update.

I cannot click the icons.

They actually dissappear when I select "file/print"  Before I hit
print, they are already gone!  In print preview they show up.  Anyone
have any ideas?  In safe mode it works fine.

For some reason my font color selection no longer expands to offer colors,
just black is the default.
I'm using the same font as always and if I edit an existing document with
colors it still will not expend.

I have 20-some identical new high end Dells running Office 2007 on Windows XP
over a Novell network.
I have a set of four users who share a lot of files with each other crashing
continuously while in Word.

I am running Office 2003 Pro on XP Home.  I have one Word document that after
I start typing in it, it will shut my computer down completely.  Other Word
docs don't , but this IMPORTANT one does.  Have tried copying it into a new
doc, no luck

Can some one help me with this?

Then try again.
Why does this keep coming up. It does not matter what format of word that I
save the document into. This is the most annoying error I have come across in
a while.

Just since the last three days I am unable to open Word document files from
Explorer.  Word itself opens, but not the document.  I CAN open the document
from inside Word.
I am using Word 2003 with SP3, and XP Pro with SP2 and all updates.

Try this,
place the cursor between two words anywhere in a line of text (do not block
any text) then use the Home Ribbon to change first the font and then the font
size as if you were going to type new text in a different font.

I've had this happen a few times now.  When using Word I'll switch over to
Outlook and when I do that, word will completely disappear.  The program is
no longer running, the document wasn't saved (I've noticed it happens to
unsaved documents-usually something I just opened from ...

I have been using Word 2003 for some time.  Within the past week Word will
not open documents when they are "double-clicked" - only the program opens.  
Or I will get an error message saying Word can not find that file and shows
the correct file location!!

Well, maybe "forget" is the wrong term to describe what is happening.
I am using MS WORD 2003 SP3, on an HP-Compaq 5100 running Windows XP
SP2.  I've set my default printer in Windows to be a networked HP
LaserJet 4050 PCL 6.
