I have about 2000 old documents I need to convert to Word from
WordPro. They were created a few years ago using WordPro 97 probably
on a PC running Win 95.
The recommended way to do this is to open in WordPro then save as Word

Hi we still have some old Wordstar 6 docs lying around which we need to open
in Word 97. I have downloaded the latest convertors from MS, but these don't
have a Wordstar convertor.
Curiously enough, I used to have the wordstar convertor on my hard disk.

displayed when opening works files.

I saved all document files to an external HDD and when I
try to retrieve them I find they all have .NCO suffix
added. The following is an example - OUTLOOK.PST became
OUTLOOK.PST.NCO.

I am using Word 2000.  It was installed on my computer by the dealer who I
bought the computer from.  I do not have a program disk.  Now I want to
convert many WordPerfect files to Word but I do not have the Batch
Conversion Wizard installed nor do I have the disk to install it ...

Now I have installed full Office 2003 with all converters
and no convertor MS-DOS text.
