for me it's not (longer) possible to save documents as *.txt. And it makes no difference wether I try saving existing or new documents. Leo

"The selected text converter is an old version which does not work with the current version of Word. Reinstall the converter and try again". This sems to be a problem that has been lingering around for years and no-one has ever posted a fix. Microsoft's knowledgebase is useless

when exporting a file as "coded text, Unicode UTF-8", the Word 2000 export filter translates the copyright symbol into "(c)". Does anybody know how to avoid that? I remember that a long a time ago there was a support.dot for configuring the ASCII export filter of

I receive a Word Perfect file (*.wpd) and when I attempt to open it in Word 2003, I get an error window that says "file may be corrupt, do you want to continue?" I click YES and only a portion of file opens. I've sent the file back to person I got it from & they can open it in WP ...

when saving a document with an own converter, word always shows a messagebox. It says that there may be elements not compatible with the converts format. Is there a way to suppress this message? Thanks

I'd like to convert a word document containing lots of tables into a PDF. Unfortunately, tables impose a major problem in doing so, i.e. line width will be erroneously displayed in the PDF (thick lines have become thin and vice versa).
