How do I get a bar code (to facilitate mailing) on a sheet of 5160 labels?

I inadvertently held down my right Shift key for 8 seconds.  A box came on
saying that I had activated "filter keys".  I can't get it to deactivate,
resulting in portions of my document being highlighted at all times.

I'm trying to automatically spell check a document and the option to "Hide
spelling errors in this document" is selected and greyed out (dimmed).  I
can't uncheck it to allow me to spell check the document as I type.  Any
ideas?

I am creating inter-company forms in MS Word.  I need assistance with
