My Word app has slowed significantly in everything. It takes a lot longer
than in the past to start, to open files, to save files, etc. If I click on
the open page too soon it turns white and fills the screen until it's ready

I want to highlight in gray behind a half row of words, but only 5 or 10%
gray highlight not the 25% that is in the hightlight button.......anyone know

I have tried to customise a page of labels (entered all the correct
dimensions) but they are not set out all they should be in print preview or
when printed. I do not have the serial number of the labels, there are 3 wide
10 down.

Can a PDF file be inserted to a Word document in one layer, such that one can
type to it in a different layer?

i've put a section break after the document, before the endnotes (got this
tip from this site).  but how do i add a page? if i do a section break, the
endnotes 'mode' will continue on the next page.  i've been trying to solve
this riddle for 4 days and am late on my project.

When I highlight text and hit delete, it doesn't delete.  I have to press the
backspace button twice to delete the text.

Every time I scroll my 50 page document, Word starts repaginating.  I can't
turn this off.  It started after I added a couple of section breaks.
Switching from Print layout to normal layout stops the repagination, but to
add graphics, I need to be in print layout.

I have "Markup" viewing turned off in my Word document; and it opens in Word
with "Markup" viewing turned off. When opened in Word Viewer the document is
displayed in a "Markup" view. How do I make it open in Word Viewer without

I have a document that has heading that are numbered. Everything is number
fine until I get to 7.1 when I assign heading 3 which should be 7.1.1 I get
6.4.4. How to I get my numbering to go back to 7.1.1? I think all my
numbering after 7.1 is messed up. I am using Word 2003.
