Does anyone know how I can find (retrive) a document that was saved to the A
drive on a disk and now the disk is corrupted.

Was typing a German paper in Word.  Uses "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "0223" looking for
a German character.  Entire monitor display flipped upside-down and am unable
to right the problem.  Please help!

My word processor is giving me a hard time lately. It takes a couple of
minutes to start, and equal amount of time to shut down, oftenly messaging
that it has encounter a problem upon closing. I tried to uninstall and
putting it all in again, but it makes no sensible difference. ...

Is there a simple way of keeping English (Australian) as the default spell
checker. I change it for one word and it just keeps going back to the US
version. What is it with the US can't they accept anything else???

Hey a friend of mine just sent me an OpenOffice text file labelled with and
ODT file extension.  I'm currently using Office Suite 2k, any suggestions on
how I can import the doc into somthing viewable by me?  Any help is

I've created a huge word document and turned on the Track Changes option.  
Now that I have finished I would like to send the document out to clients.  
But I can't seem to turn the Track Changes option off.  Can someone please

Does Word 2003 have a "fit to page" icon button?  I can't find one.

Synonyms doesn't work in a particular document.  It works on all other
documents.

I have Word 2002.  WinXP.
I have a 200 page document with 13 different sections.
My question is... how can I insert text (in this case the date) in arch
different footer simultaneously.  

When I go to page setup, all measurements are in pts instead of inches.  
Anyone know if/how I can I change back?

I am trying to create a template that has a footer at the bottom of the page.
The footer would ideally be situation 0.1" from the bottom of the page.  
When I am in Print Layout, the footer looks perfect.  When I print the page
or preview the page, the footer is not visible.  ...

I want it to look like this below in Word 2003:  How do I get the TOC not to
number the title Highway... I've tried to create a section title but it is
not working...   Many Thanks

Sometimes Word will be able to maximize to a full screen...but sometimes it
won't - any suggestions?
